Metals & Jewelry Design 1 & 2In Metals & Jewelry Design 1 students will learn about the production of metal art and jewelry. Students work with metals (both wire and sheet), casting in pewter and silver, wire techniques, use of beads (wood, acrylic and glass), stones, leather, and macramé cord. Students will learn six basic jewelry making techniques to create their artwork.
In Metals & Jewelry Design 2 students will learn about advanced design and production of metal art and jewelry. Students with a desire to learn more about how to work with metals (both wire and sheet), casting in pewter and silver, copper enameling, beads (wood, acrylic and glass), stones, leather, and macramé. Students must be approved by the teacher to take this course. They will create at least six pieces of jewelry or metalworking artwork successfully.

Studio ArtStudio Art is designed to give the serious art student an in depth study of advanced art techniques in their chosen area of study. This course will help the art student prepare their art portfolio for college entrance. The course can be taken up to four times with the approval of the art department chairperson. They need to have completed successfully at least three or four other art classes.
